ABOUT US

Mission/vision

To empower teen and young adult girls across underserved communities with the tools, training, and mentorship they need to rise—personally, professionally, and powerfully.

We believe that when a girl is equipped with knowledge, belief, and opportunity, she becomes a ripple of change in her family, her community, and the world.

Brand Story

Sisi Global Foundation was born out of a simple but powerful observation:
Too many girls with bright minds and bold dreams were being left behind—not because they lacked potential, but because they lacked support.

Our founder, Mercy Oh, saw firsthand, both in the U.S. and across Africa, how a single act of guidance, funding, or belief could unlock a girl’s future. As a military spouse, mentor, executive leader, and mother, she wanted to create something that would stretch across borders—but reach straight into the heart of a girl’s life. Now, through Sisi Global Foundation, she’s helping other girls discover their seeds early—and see them through a global lens. Because when a girl understands that her voice, ideas, and potential reach beyond her street, village, or city, she begins to rise with a new kind of confidence—the kind that changes everything.

Sisi (which means “progressive and vibrant young woman” in Yorubas and “sister” in many African dialects) is more than a name – that’s who we serve and who we speak to: girls with untapped brilliance, sisters who need a spark, and future leaders who are waiting to be seen.—it’s a promise:
You are seen. You are supported. And you can do more than survive—you can soar.

How we Work

Our impact model is thoughtfully designed to meet girls at every stage of their journey, providing them with the support, resources, and opportunities they need to overcome barriers, unlock their full potential, and rise toward a future filled with possibilities and success.

Mentorship

We believe that every girl deserves a strong support system, and through our mentorship programs, we connect young girls with inspiring role models who guide, encourage, and equip them with the knowledge, confidence, and life skills needed to navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and unlock their full potential in education, career, and personal growth.

Micro-funding

A small investment can create a lifetime of impact, and through our micro-funding initiative, we provide young women with startup capital, tools, and business mentorship to launch and grow their own enterprises—whether it’s a hair salon, tailoring business, or a tech startup—helping them build financial independence and transform their communities.

scholarships

No girl should ever have to choose between education and survival, which is why our scholarship program removes financial barriers by covering tuition, school supplies, and related costs, ensuring that bright and ambitious young girls have uninterrupted access to quality education and the opportunity to pursue their dreams without limitations.

business incubation

From idea to impact, our business incubation program is designed to turn young women’s dreams into reality by providing hands-on training, financial literacy education, and access to industry experts, ensuring they gain the entrepreneurial mindset, skills, and resources needed to start, sustain, and scale successful businesses in various industries.
